B2e3-a/S12-i3-a7

B2e3-a/S12-i3-a7 is a rule that has many promising attributes. To start, here is the main stunning feature, a (7,6)c/58 puffer, that produces 1 domino every 2 cycles: x = 3, y = 4, rule = B2e3-a/S12-i3-a7 o$o$obo$bo! That isn't the only knightpuffer, there's this one, which produces a period 4 oscil...

Re: Thread for basic questions

Can a RRO be built in CGOL by crashing LWSSes into some small, cheap slow orthogonal spaceship like the loafer? What I'm thinking is that two copies of a recipe that creates and destroys a loafer gun by hitting the back of a loafer are placed, and some sort of copy machine takes in the second copy a...

it has a maximum multiplicity of 5x, surpassing drc's former record! Hmm, while this is interesting, how can it be truly a 5x RRO if the period isn't divisible by 5? There is the additional constraint that two non-interacting copies of the pattern could be combined into an oscillator with a period ...

Is it known what the nonomino predecessor of the switch engine that it was first found by is? Because I seem to have refound it:

B2e3-a/S12-i3-a7 is slow to search (should take around an hour to search 10000 soups, if my estimates are correct), yet interesting. It has two (6,7)c/58 puffers, the first one being more common: x = 4, y = 3, rule = B2e3-a/S12-i3-a7 3o$3bo$2bo! x = 12, y = 4, rule = B2e3-a/S12-i3-a7 8b3o$11bo$o9bo$...
