Re: Suggested LifeWiki edits
Something I think could be beneficial is to either expand glossary of basic terms or make a more thorough glossary page. Updating the Life Lexicon seems to be a much slower process and it's not entirely complete for newer terminology like "index fossil" (a term for an object that appears twice or mo...

This pair of puffers looks like any other, but I realized while looking deeper that it actually has a sort of parasitic growth on it: x = 93, y = 63, rule = B3/S23 11bo$11b2o$3o$bo$2bo7$3b3o48$89bobo$92bo$88bo2bo$87b3o! I think a much more productive solution would either be to have Golly autosave when pressing start, fix the underlying bug with the stop button, or just manually save patterns that you worked hard on periodically.

Hi there, I'm quite a golly noob, and I'm really fascinated with Cellular autonoma. I have a pretty good pc, yet it stutters sometimes. This does not happen with the computers at my high school. Am i supposed to set a priority for golly to fix this? It might be your refresh rate. My monitor is 144H...

What can be said about the complexity-to-cost ratio? Is 5 instructions the optimal balance between the circuitry being too large and the encoded data being too large?

Is there a highway robber that uses a block for a bait? I don't think it would be possible to use just a block as bait, no. It just pulls the block (2, 1) without doing much that can generate signals. If you use multiple objects there's plenty of things that can produce an output signal, then you j...

Re: gloc.py - for glider guns we may have missed
Those big p3s are typically used to reduce the bounding box, which is the usual metric applied to guns for some reason. Yours is 61x60 while with the p3 it's 60x60. I think this metric is used because guns are often packed together closely.

I found some adjustable GPSE pair puffers. I think pulling the lower one back 192*n cells does the trick. Re: Unproven conjectures
Actually that doesn't seem that out of the question. One could just use a similar approach to the unsynthesizable p2 agar, but with a p2 c/2 spaceship instead. It'd be much harder to stabilize, though, and still a bit of a longshot. I don't even know of any reasonably small c/2 agars.

That's a really cool period multiplier, but I don't think much could be improved from the already-existing APGsembly. I also don't think it'd be that great to have competing standards in such a small space, unless the new standard has many clear advantages over the old.
