Laminar: a descriptor for a wickstretcher (or growing ship or wick ship) stretching a wick with both spatial and temporal period 1 (i.e. one or more line wicks of arbitrary thickness).

Not that bizarre, really — this rule is essentially just a cross between Life and HighLife where a cell is only born on B6 if it hasn't had anything but 5 or 8 live neighbors since it last died, if I gather right.

Which programs can find photons with period greater than 1?
