I was reading Stephen Hawkings' new book "The Grand Design"
In the last chapter he talked about The Game of Life and my interest grew from there.

Hello Everyone! I have come up with a new computation rule based on the behavior of liquid in pipes. Hence the name "Liquid". Here, I have given you the table, the colours file and a demonstraion of the uses of state cells. Enjoy! n_states:12 neighborhood:Moore symmetries:rotate8 var a={0,1,5,7,8,9,...

I was looking through those videos and I decided I'd add the pattern the made the pulsra as it seems quiet impressive. At first I didn't save it but here it is

Still, glad you enjoyed the videos, I'll be making more in the future so look out.

Re: Glider/**SS Reactions
Hi. I don't recognise these mechansims from any pattern i've seen so you may have discovered them. These do have a potential to be used in a larger mechanism or to what I've noticed if you remove the last MWSS it creates a p48 rake (predessesor). Frankly though, I would be suprised if these weren't ...

Erm...
The inactivity of this thread would suggest no-one knows a block factory other than Achim's P144
Right?
What I really need then is almsot a conveyer belt of them.
Any ideas?

Re: Missing Components
You may note 90° reflectors used for adding edge gliders, glider + LWSS reactions for adding front gliders, and even an LWSS 90° reflection. Most of the currect reflectors work on a direct path so would be useless to a gun. I'm testing the queen bee shuttle as a reflector and taking an interest in ...

You can simply use this reaction (kickback reaction) x = 7, y = 10, rule = B3/S23 obo$2o$bo5$4b3o$4bo$5bo! Result is same, and you don't need block which is destroyed Minor problem with that is the glider is sent exactly where it came from so the gun would be destroyed unless a reflector is quickly...

Hey all, I'm working on a new gun and i'm missing some crucial parts, mainly I need a machine that deploys an accessible '<' triplet spark and another that deploys a block a few gens before the triplet spark.
Basically i'll keep making posts here for parts I need.
Thanks!

Re: Methuselah based spaceships
First of all, the term "house" is generally used when referring to the pattern as an induction coil. Otherwise, it is merely generation 3 of the pi-heptomino . You didn't need to tell me this. There has been speculation over the years that this property could be used to make a 3c/10 spaceship, but ...
