### Re: Star Wars Rule

The p5 oscillator can be chained once and still retain its period.
p5, chained once:

Code: Select all

``````x = 8, y = 5, rule = 345/2/4
5.A\$.A3.3A\$.6A\$3A3.A\$2.A!
``````
Chaining it more than once changes its period to 20.
p20 (p5 chained twice):

Code: Select all

``````x = 12, y = 6, rule = 345/2/4
9.A\$5.A3.3A\$.A3.6A\$.6A3.A\$3A3.A\$2.A!
``````

### Re: Unable to run clipboard

I run x64 (64-bit) windows. Would an x86 (32-bit) perl be incompatible?

Hope this works.
Edit 2: Success! Perl is now working!

Thanks a bunch!
However, I'm not allowed to run Perl scripts, even though I have Perl Installed.
I entered the path to the .dll, but no dice.

### Unable to run clipboard

I'm unable to run patterns straight from the clipboard. When I try, it says that I need a perl*.dll.
I was able to do it before, but now it suddenly stopped working.

I made "ships" as I described, so it breaks most patterns even though the behaviour is almost identical, thease patterns could probbably be reworked. Could we work with this instead for building ships? I will upload to the RTR if it is a success. ftp://with-logic.co.uk/public_html/a/ships.table ftp...
