I'm currently compiling a list of 3o2$o! + domino → glider reactions on User:HotdogPi/3o2$o!, and I reduced gun_495 (45 and 55) and gun_4182 (82 and 102) this way. What else can I add to the list (especially edgy dominoes)?

Golly seems to crash in these two situations:

1. When the population changes from 154 to 155.

2. When the population is 157 in two consecutive generations, usually; there's a small chance of it surviving and a small chance of a visually glitched screen but no behavior changes.

How do I fix this?

If you look in the textcensus, I just added several 4-digit gun periods that are multiples of 192 (7, 9, 13, 17, 19, 29, 31, 37, 43, and I might be missing one or two). Their bounding boxes are typically between 2000 and 4000 cells.

Go through the Catagolue gun census. For 4-digit periods that are a 3-smooth number times a number under 1000, automatically add semi/tremi/quadri-snarks to the 3-digit periods to create the 4-digit period if it would result in a reduction.
