How to copy from LifeViewer to Golly?
Click on the LifeViewer to interact with it and then press Ctrl+C. It should say 'copied to clipboard' or words to that effect. Then open Golly and go to File --> Open Clipboard.

I feel discriminated here. Yes,I feel discriminated! You should follow wwei23's example: they started off as annoying, and then had a temporary ban, and now they actually contribute useful discoveries such as this transparent-block biLWSS-to-H: https://conwaylife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2817...

Is this LWSS-on-LWSS to H known? I would expect something this simple to already be in this thread, but I don't see it here. Interesting! I don't remember any previously known *WSS-pairing-to-anything converter, so I'd say it's definitely a new discovery. This might not be too surprising, since we ...

Re: Execution of Old Guns by Variable-Speed Firing Squad

The larger p3 domino sparker in the p57 and p114 guns that I posted can be shortened by one row just by modifying the stator. It can be reduced by two more rows by modifying the rotor, which yields the smallest pseudo-period p57 gun (7139 --> 7056). Surprisingly, no further rows can be shaved off t...

Re: Gun Discussion Thread

I know I have 4 of the last 5 posts, but here's a p60 almost gun in a 24×32 bounding box (total 768); the only issue is that the gliders crash into the pentadecathlons. There has to be a way to do this. (You can merge it with the previous post if you're able to keep the newer timestamp on it.) x = ...

I haven't counted the total number of gliders yet. There may still be some errors.
There was a missing beehive in the 8th frame from the right. After amending, Catagolue says 753 gliders -- very well done!!!

We can get arbitrarily close to 100% for the omnidirectional problem using highway robbers. I'd take the Yedidia-Aaronson Turing machine (which halts if and only if a certain extension of ZFC is inconsistent), convert it to a GoL pattern, and ask 'is this an infinite-growth pattern'?

I don't know what you mean by "nonmagical box". (I don't have a Catagolue account.)
You don't need to have an account; just scroll down to the bottom of https://catagolue.hatsya.com/syntheses and paste an RLE into the box and then click 'Post' to submit.
