Re: LeapLife (B2n3/S23-q)

An interesting variant of the ship eater:

Code: Select all

x = 24, y = 12, rule = B2n3/S23-qHistory
2.A11.A$A.A9.A.A$.2A10.2A6.2A$20.A2.A$4.2A10.2A2.A.2A$4.A.A9.A.A.A$5.
2A10.2A.A$19.A$15.4A$14.A$14.A.A$15.2A!
(Sorry for the triple post one line each, but I'm in a hurry now.)

I'm glad that you've got dr working.
I got dr working long ago, but I only got to (an equivalent of) the first part of your modification. Bravo!

I tried to put all the dr oscillators in one place, and this happened instead: Your message contains 305184 characters. The maximum number of allowed characters is 250000. I would think "Symbiosis" the rule is not eligible, while any discoveries/development from 2020 is. For example the drifter signals or quadratic growth seem eligible for nomination. They can have a collective nomination: "Symbiosis development in 2020, including..." especially nice if an article co...

Maybe we should start some kind of project or a page exploring and apgsearching lifelike (as in they are a couple of transitions away from Life) automata that don't have Catagolue pages. In that rule above, there's an extremely common 4c/69d ship which is only a couple of transitions away from Life...

Yes, JLS does not - but rlifesrc does, so me and AlephAlpha are still looking for fancy ways of abusing it.
