Idea for replicator/puffer
I have been thinking about the glider duplicator and though; "what if I made a construction tape for a glider duplicator?" Then, you could replicate the construction tape in a glider duplicator, one end would be fed to a universal(or semi-universal) constructor to make a glider duplicator and anothe...

Thanks for the advice, and from now on I will post them in the useless discoveries forum. Oh and also jslife cannot operate on a mac, which is what I use.

How Do I Use Gsearch
I FINALLY found a program that works on repl.it(an online compiler), but how do I use Gsearch. I can't even find out how to specify the ruleset. Can someone please help me.

Re: A Useful(Not Really) discovery
The only known one is the piston and the piston must be alternating. This uses other things to extend and makes the expansion able to go both ways in infinite expansion with piston it could only have a 5*infinity bounding box but mine has a infinity*infinity bounding box(and it doesn't have to alter...

A Useful(Not Really) discovery
I wanted to discuss a discovery but also have a conversation about it so I didn't put it on the useless discovery forum. So basically it is an extendable oscillator based off of spark coil and it can make some nice stuff. Here is almost every extension I have found: x = 211, y = 219, rule = B3/S23 1...

Re: Agar guns
It might be a good idea to do some timed runs on small searches, bearing in mind that for every new cell you add to a brute-force search, the search time approximately doubles. I know but it is worth a shot (but your probably right because Im using python :P ) Also this is very close x = 239, y = 2...

Re: Agar guns
Yeah, but luckily I am using a brute-force method of finding it in a program I am creating.
It may be slow but it will DEFINITELY find it if it exists
Thanks for the help and if any more news comes up about it post it here

yes but we would also still need it to be a light speed signal for a extendable-period oscillator
also can you show me the elbow

Thanks, that is exactly what I wanted
too bad we don't have single signal oscillators then we could make any period oscillators
