Re: OCA DOTY 2020
First of all, it is rather difficult to classify, to categorize results, so I think deadline for nominating from 2020 will be open till 01/March/2021 at least; Because someone "silently" promoted me to an organizer. Implicit meaning: co-organizers are kindly welcome and appreciated due to the large ...

Re: OCADOTY 2021 Nominee Collection Thread
I think you two might have misread. This is for collecting nominees of this year's upcoming OCADOTY (notice 202 1 ), because so much stuff happens in OCA that it's hard to keep track of. Oh, I'm so sorry. I'll post them in the regular thread, though I don't see it actually. When I search there is n...

Re: Seeds

Although those tapes can be indefinitely extended, the operation speed slows proportionally to the growth, approaching 0. Unlike the "O...

Re: Seeds
By the way, are there any rule 110 unit cells found in Seeds? No. One reason is because there are no known guns slower than p4. This is way too fast for logic building. I do suspect it's Turing-complete (with or without 110 units), but for the time being it's just my conjecture. EDIT: Oops, someone...

Re: Star Wars Rule
Rules with photons or similar c/1 or cn/n ships are expected to be Turing-complete. Probably even Seeds, although I have not seen a splitter and reflector in Seeds yet. Um, what? (1) why would the velocity of the ship possibly matter? (2) why would having a ship of sufficient velocity in any way ma...
