Line cut/connect reaction?

Is there a reaction to cut a stable gap with at least 5 diagonal squares of breathing room, and then another reaction to fill it back in, in a long snake such as this one? x = 66, y = 68, rule = B3/S23 2o$o$bo$2bo$3bo$4bo$5bo$6bo$7bo$8bo$9bo$10bo$11bo$12bo$13bo$14bo$15bo$ 16bo$17bo$18bo$19bo$20bo$21...

CA spaceship lookup database?

What was that database where you'd enter the rule and it would tell you what known spaceships exist in said rule?

Re: Star Wars Rule

Okay, I get b0, b1, and b2 now. I understand c as well. We require a binary counter to find b0, b1, and b2. Can we read it as of now? Can we clear it? And can we make it count up x times and stop? That's what I assume we'll need. But what about c' = b1 AND NOT(b2) AND (b0 OR c)? It seems to be missi...

CA that behave similar to 2x2

I've noticed that many rules, including those that normally explode, emulate a different CA on a 2x2 grid. An example is B34678/S012458, where normal patterns simply blow up, while on a 2x2 grid it emulates some CA where everything usually dies down... x = 298, y = 256, rule = B34678/S012458 296b2o$...

Using the extensible diamond technology this should be easily possible for both spaceships and puffers.

By the way, are there any known spacefillers in Star Wars? If not, a diamond configuration that emits an array of pluses or an extensible still life might be an example.
