Re: Oscillator Discussion Thread

Given that it has now become reasonable to make bespoke oscillators for specific interactions, I've been giving some thought to the idea of a universal, low-period block keeper or blinker keeper. Such an oscillator would have a sparking area that is suppressed by a block or blinker, which, when remo...

Re: Thread for your periodic conduits that do not necessarily involve Herschels

When using CatForce, occasionally you'll get a loaf as a catalyst that creates a normally-unsalvageable Pi very close to itself. Here's an example, with a sacrificial block to turn that Pi into a glider x = 27, y = 38, rule = B3/S23 25b2o$25b2o2$16b2o$15bo2bo$7b2o7bobo$8bo8bo$8bobo$9b2o2$2o$bo$bobo$...

It's a nice find by Entity Valkyrie, but unfortunately p88 already has a gun with smaller bounding box and lower population (164). Given how very not-picky this mechanism is, I'm actually optimistic that it can reduce at least one p44 gun multiple, even if it's only a little. It just calls for some...
