Re: My two cents
Some of these patterns were already found (see http://www.conwaylife.com/wiki/Quad as example)

Re: Resemblance of behavior and shape in patterns
Well, when stabilized with eaters it displays the thin and dense phases of a normal standard spaceship, and the B-heptomino moves like a normal standard ship until collisions with its junk turn it around and eventually destroy it. In fact in Drylife where L, M, and HWSSs cannot exist the B-heptomino...

It's usefully extensible! However the maximum size is limited by the maximum size of the Houses.

Re: new still life
1.If you did not find the LOM and house synthesis with two gliders, how come it says so on their wiki pages?
2.does the predecessor have enough induction coil value to be posted with its relatives the cap, bookend, r-bee, teardrop, etc. on the wiki?

Re: new still life
we already have a 2-glider synth of the house AND LOM both by you, so it would take only six gliders. The first generation of the lumps of muck might make a handy induction coil that functions similarly to a bookend, house, or cap.

Re: Caterpillar's little brother research
Maybe the gun could be called a "butterfly" because it creates caterpillars. And how will such a large gun be viewed?

Re: new still life
the stabilized beehive-like LOM predecessor is just the first generation of the stairstep hexomino, kind of like the similarly shaped bookend and its parent the century. The plan is to find a synthesis of the stairstep, and other gliders that are one generation away will make the houses.

The one-sided object is a http://conwaylife.com/wiki/Cis_fuse_with_two_tails and the two sided is the siamese version, like the http://conwaylife.com/wiki/Loaf_siamese_loafis of loaves.

A sparker with sparks large and far away enough from the oscillator to perturb spaceships easily.

Re: B0156/S2
Actually Day and Night is not like any b0 rules. In Day and Night the inverse of a pattern is stable if the background is filled with cells stabilized in a certain way, but the background never oscillates. in b0 rules the background oscillates, and it may or may not be self-complementary.

Re: Game of War - a multiplayer non-automata
The reason you feel the need for a powerup is because still-lifes are small and are able to be constructed densely, but few spaceships dense enough to overpower them exist because the rulestring for life contains only 2s and 3s. Even the few that exist (weighted spaceships in dense phase) cannot atta...
