I think this pattern is more accurately put in the "ark" family. Indeed, its unstability comes from the fact it comes from a pair of engines that shoot backward. I don't know what's the consensus, but I don't think it's a true methusaleh a la "Iwona", "Bunnies" or the pentomino.

I found an unusual highway in lagton ants: it is oblique rather than diagonal (a 5/3 slope) and it contains 2 ants rather than one. Also, here's a small useless reaction: a block eats the ship, but not entirely, leaving 2 blocks, including the carried one. It means a stream of ships "crystallize" very easily.

As of the canon, the third looks quite like a snake head or something, so I wouldn't be against a name like so, but the first one can be seen as a man so happy he's slightly crying... However, if one considers there are too many "animal" ships, how about "carrier"? It seems to pull a block similarly...

Interesting. The Coe ship starts as an otherwise viable LWSS on MWSS, but with 1 cell more, thet doesn't destroy the structure.
