Scot's p5 is a period-5 oscillator that was found by Scot Ellison in June 2008. It has the seventh highest volatility of any known period-5 oscillator, after the statorless p5, a fourfold variant of itself (that is the second-highest), swine and three unnamed oscillators.

On September 28, 2023, KtT reduced the synthesis cost from 23 to 22 gliders.[1][2]
