:I like Hickerson's classification of life symmetries.  I'd like to symmetry categorize oscillators according to a more precise set of criteria, but I suspect that the discussion belongs on the talk page under oscillator.  I will place something there soon. --[[User:Scotgot|Scot Ellison]] 16:01, 26 July 2011 (CDT)

RLEs

Tip: MediaWiki ignores single newlines, so you'll need to add another one to get the RLE of a pattern display'd normally on a page. Compare:

x = 4, y = 4, rule = life 2b2o$2bo$obo$2o!

versus:

x = 4, y = 4, rule = life

2b2o$2bo$obo$2o!

Code blocks also work:

x = 4, y = 4, rule = life
2b2o$2bo$obo$2o!

Symmetry classes

Also, I'd guess you're also reading the forums, but in case not, you may want to check topic out before symmetry-categorizing oscillators…

I like Hickerson's classification of life symmetries. I'd like to symmetry categorize oscillators according to a more precise set of criteria, but I suspect that the discussion belongs on the talk page under oscillator. I will place something there soon. --Scot Ellison 16:01, 26 July 2011 (CDT)
