Titanic toroidal traveler is a superstring with a 9-cell repeating segment that was first described in Lifeline Volume 4. The front part repeats with period 16, but the detached back part is quite unpredictable. The unpredictable part is replicator-like in its behaviour, and advances at 7c/40.

A similar situation arises when the twin bees shuttle is iterated on a cylinder of width 12.
