"Expression error: Unexpected > operator."

Anyone know how to fix this? Ian07 (talk) 01:49, 2 November 2018 (UTC)

Urgh. I hate MediaWiki parser errors. Let me take a look. Apple Bottom (talk) 20:36, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
The problem's due to the fact that this passes synthesisRLE= but not synthesis=. As a result, a few calls to #ifexpr: in Template:PatternDownload end up breaking, because while e.g. "42 > 35" is a valid parsable expression, "> 35" is not.
Defaulting to 0 for synthesis in those places doesn't work; I'm not sure why not. My best guess is that MediaWiki distinguishes between parameters that weren't passed, and parameters that were but happen to be the empty string, and doesn't use default values in the latter case. Which, frankly, sucks. I'll see what I can do to handle this. Apple Bottom (talk) 20:46, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
Got it. Apple Bottom vs. MediaWiki --- 1:0. Apple Bottom (talk) 20:55, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
Awesome. Thanks! Ian07 (talk) 20:58, 3 November 2018 (UTC)

Attempt to add fuses

@ColorfulGalaxy, you tried adding the following to this article:

5c/7 fuse (discovered by BokaBB) This article needs to be expanded with: BokaBB's 5c/7 pi fuse.

Not notable - not a clean fuse

8c/15 fuse This article needs to be expanded with: James Pascua's 8c/15 pi fuse.

I reverted the change for now. Offhand I can't find either of these patterns on the forums, either with the forum search or with a Google search, so if you really want to add either of these, please provide some links here on the Talk page, and explain why it seems like a good idea to do this. In general, for obvious reasons, it's best not to add anything that has to be labeled 'not notable'. Dvgrn (talk) 12:15, 21 August 2021 (UTC)

The apgcode of the 5c/7 pi fuse is xp0_ ...444xex444xex444xex444xexehr ∞
It's indeed a blinker fuse. ColorfulGalaxy (talk) 12:22, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
EDIT: And the 8c/15 is xp0_ ...444y2ey2444y2ey2444y2ey2444wehr ∞
Can you just copy-and-paste RLEs if you can find the patterns instead of abusing apgcodes? Apgcodes are not well-designed for these unstable patterns, and surely the original publication of these fuses are in RLE format. GUYTU6J (talk) 12:28, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
Also, my request was "please provide some links". Those apgcodes are especially unhelpful if these fuses are supposed to be attributed to BokaBB and JP21, but nobody knows where the patterns came from. Dvgrn (talk) 12:40, 21 August 2021 (UTC)

Reburnable

Here is a possibly reburnable one. http://conwaylife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1482&p=160995#p160989 CurrentNews (talk) 13:22, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
