Rephaser
Rephaser or Repather is the following reaction that shifts the phase and path of a pair of gliders. There is another form of this reaction, glider-block cycle, that reflects the gliders 180 degrees. This can be used when 2 gliders are too close to do anything. This can potentially push gliders outwards.

More generally, any mechanism that changes the phase of a glider or spaceship may be referred to as a rephaser.
This term can also describe any reflector (A) that changes the phase of a glider, making it arrive on a different time compared to reflecting with reflector B. For example, two bumpers in a 180-degree turn can be used as a rephaser to get a glider stream of 52 to the same place that 2 Snarks could, but arriving at a time impossible to do with the Snark.
