Period-40 glider gun is an extensible true period-40 glider gun discovered by Adam P. Goucher in 2013 and improved by Matthias Merzenich[1]. It is based on a glider-releasing wick found by Jason Summers and Matthias Merzenich. It can be made to have more than 1 barrel.
A chain of honey farm precursors is hassled by figure eights and period-5 oscillators to produce 11 streams of gliders. One stream is the output, 4 are reflected to stabilize the ends of the honey farm chain, and the other 6 are absorbed by eater 1s.
A smaller version of the gun with a 165×136 bounding box was found by Luka Okanishi in April 2018[2].
