Over-unity reaction

An over-unity reaction is a reaction between some number of input signals (e.g. gliders) as well as an optional sustained reaction (usually a catalyst, sparker, or hassled object) that produces a greater number of output signals than input signals. With the addition of a means for manipulating single signals (reflectors, conduits, etc.) guns can usually be constructed using them.
Glider duplicators and glider-emitting Herschel conduits can be considered degenerate examples (with one input and two or more outputs).
