I would suggest (assuming there aren't previous standards) the following names for common objects 5, 6 and 10, which appear in quite a few other CA as well:

• 5: "R-flipper" (R-pentomino shaped on odd generations)
• 6: "Plus X"
• 10: "Horned tub"

Also, I've been calling 2 and 9 "rotating" rather than "spinning", but that's just a matter of taste really.

Sidenote: 5 and 9 have the interesting property that every Life-like CA that supports one, supports the other as well. Might be interesting to study how their relative frequence varies across rules...
