c/7 orthogonal is an orthogonal speed that is equivalent to one seventh of the speed of light.
Spaceships
On February 17, 2013 Josh Ball discovered the first c/7 orthogonal spaceship, the loafer.
Using caterloopillar technology, Michael Simkin constructed a c/7 orthogonal ship on April 16, 2016.[1]
On February 4, 2017, Matthias Merzenich discovered 339P7H1V0, a large p7 width-19 bilaterally-symmetric c/7 orthogonal spaceship. These ships can be chained by nontrivial spark interactions to produce an infinite number of distinct c/7 orthogonal spaceships.[2]
On December 5, 2022, Frank Everdij discovered taco, another bilaterally symmetric spaceship, using ikpx2. Its front end contains two copies of the loafer's front end, while its back end produces two one-bit tail sparks.[3]
Guns
Loafer can be synthesized from 8 gliders, allowing the construction of guns.[4]
