Jason's p33 is a period-33 oscillator that was discovered by Jason Summers on August 31, 2000.[1] The original stabilization (shown below) used an extension of odd keys. The smaller stabilization by boats and tubs (shown to the right) was found by Matthias Merzenich in 2013 using Bellman.[2]

Two copies of Jason's p33 were used to construct the first period-33 glider gun.

Statorless and strictly volatile polymerized variants of this oscillator can also be made. For instance, a 68-glider synthesis of an octamer was found by Summers and Mark Niemiec in February 2001,[1] which was reduced to 56 gliders by GUYTU6J on March 21, 2020.[3] In December 2021, FractalFusion constructed another polymer that serves as a statorless 90-degree glider reflector,[4] based on David Bell's reflections found in May 2001.[1]
