64P6 is a period-6 oscillator and domino sparker found by Dongook Lee and Matthias Merzenich in November 2019.[1] A variant optimized for the number of rows is used in the current smallest variant of the dueling banjos version of the period-24 glider gun; 64P6 can also be used to stabilize an extended period-12 wick found by 2718281828.[2]
It is a reduction of 80P6, which was found by Karel Suhajda in August 2004. [3] Another variant, found after 64P6, has a bounding box of 13 × 16 (instead of 14 × 16) but has less clearance.
