CA/Turmites DNA-computing?
Can any CAs or Turmites make DNA-computing architectures? Especially, can Turmites imitate messenger-RNAs?

Offhand I can't think of any kind of messenger-RNA imitation that turmites would be particularly good at.Koiti Kimura wrote:Can any CAs or Turmites make DNA-computing architectures? Especially, can Turmites imitate messenger-RNAs?
The CAs that come to mind most readily in a DNA (not so much RNA) context are various loop rules, and maybe rules supporting artificial chemistry -- depends on what you're looking for.
There are Langton's Loop and EvoLoop sample patterns that come with Golly, but it can be a bit confusing getting the ShapeLoop / WormLoop rules matched up properly with their sample patterns. There are some pictures of a few random experimental results on the second page of the same loop-rules thread.
