Where to look for existing discoveries

Post by Linicks » March 7th, 2016, 4:46 pm

I have been keeping an eye on the thread in PATTERNS about the new glider found,

I just got gfind, and it works well.

Now, where do I find if something I have found already has been discovered?

Also, is there an index that explains the all the c/10 et al stuff that describes all these objects?

Thanks:

One I found but haven't a clue:

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 5, rule = B3/S23
b2o$b3o$ob2o$3o$bo!

If you're looking for an explanation of the "c/10" and such, the lifewiki is good for that. This page has the discussion of spaceship terminology and a lot of the history too.
