I have just created the voting thread. I tried to keep the rules as clear and concise as possible, at the cost of not answering the following questions:

Q: How will the scores be calculated?

A: Person's last vote will be given 1 point, the second last one will be given 2 points and so on. The scores will be summed across all voters.

Q: Why can people vote for their own patterns?

A: Because most of discoveries this year were very collaborative. If I didn't allow this, the most prominent lifenthusiasts would hardly be able to vote for anything at all. I believe that you can be fair and not egoistic.
