Hello,
can you please help me with my search?
I am looking for a Conways Game of Life Simulator that allows me to edit the rules on the fly and create different groups of cells, each one with own rule-sets and colours on the same map.
I would like to see, how different rules compete.
Regards
Sto
Different rule-sets on the same map?
Re: Different rule-sets on the same map?
Sounds like you might be looking for MattA's Cellular Explorer. (I haven't tried it myself, but I've seen the videos!)sto777 wrote:I am looking for a Conways Game of Life Simulator that allows me to edit the rules on the fly and create different groups of cells, each one with own rule-sets and colours on the same map.

Thank you dvgrn! This program is very young, but a good first step. Ten years ago i have seen a fully evolved program with features i am talking about, but i have forgotten the name and can not find it

Is it Powder Toy? (According to its wiki, one can select groups of cells and make them follow a certain rule while having other cells follow a different rule, and unlike Cellular Explorer, it includes Generations rules.)sto777 wrote:Thank you dvgrn!
