I don't think an expiry date can be set. You will remain untrusted until a moderator decides to give you the trusted flag again. Dave gave you the "ban", so I would not give you a trusted flag without his consent.
As far as I'm concerned, anyone is welcome to put Entity Valkyrie's trusted flag back at any time, in response to an official request posted on this thread. However, I won't be making that change myself until the end of February 2020 at the earliest, for a couple of reasons.
1) I think that anyone who restores that trusted flag should also take responsibility for reviewing EV's future work, until it becomes clear that EV has figured out all of the relevant LifeWiki standards and policies and is no longer doing so much accidental damage. "Trust but verify" would seem like a good plan.
Until the end of February I was taking on a lot of that review work, because the only alternative I could see was to remove EV's trusted flag a lot sooner. I didn't want to do that, because EV was also adding a lot of good new information to the LifeWiki. But by the end I had had to write
a fairly ridiculous amount on EV's user talk page, to attempt to explain why certain edits were not welcome. Often these attempts got no response at all, and EV's behavior didn't seem to change. If I'm ever going to get back to work on some of my own Life projects, I can't afford to take on this much editing and explaining responsibility again myself, but I certainly don't mind if someone else wants to take on a project like that.
2) On February 25th, a straw poll appeared in ConwayLife Lounge #General Discussion on Discord:
Let's do a more formal version of that straw poll, then: react with "Y" if you think Entity Valkyrie should be untrusted/banned from editing the LifeWiki or vote "N" if you disagree.
The initial vote was seven in favor of the ban and one vote against -- and the one naysayer appeared to have EV confused with
ntdsc. Even before I added an eighth vote, there was clearly a pretty good consensus that the LifeWiki would be safer and easier to maintain if EV could be prevented from making further changes to it.
It seems like it will be a good idea to make sure that that consensus has changed, before restoring EV's trusted status on the LifeWiki.
@Entity Valkyrie, if you'll take my advice, you'll wait a year or so before asking to have that trusted flag changed back. That by itself would go a long way to show that you're willing to slow down and review your own work more thoroughly.
