It can be connected to a dependent conduit that begins with the transparent block reaction and suppresses the SW10T108 glider output, to make a block factory like this:

Just replace the Tub by a Boat and it will be destroyed instead transformed to blinker.
Thought it's easier to create a Boat than transform a Blinker to a Tub with the right placement.

There's an octaplet at the left side that sacrifices a block. If the block could be replaced, it would give a new G-X lead.

Code: Select all

I managed to connect it to a Q-to-W, so one can end up with this H-to-G1+g using it, but with an no-so-desirable repeat time:

Code: Select all

x = 77, y = 66, rule = LifeHistory

Useless p1338 Glider Gun and certainly not a record :

Code: Select all

x = 141, y = 110, rule = LifeHistory

I'm not sure whether I understand what property is needed here (what it is like to be a Traveller Glider?), but anyway here is something that might be relevant:

Is there a X-to-X conduit in Life like this fake one in LifeHistory that, when used repeatedly, produces many gliders on the same lane?

It was mostly a joke.
The idea is that a new X-to-G has a single solution where the Glider goes through the whole conduit.

Those usually have high repeat time because of that. Which might be a problem, but on the other hand might become an advantage, if you are actually looking for a delay device, where the active reaction spends many ticks in some small region before moving away.

Here is a p563 glider gun consisting of two parts (the Bronco used as a G-to-H, and the NW-23T224 H-to-G), which basically look like they're made for each other:

Using my WFx71H and connected it to QF157W, I've made a QFx228H (or QF228 as Q is symmetric).
But I can't connect the Q input sadly :(
It also seems that the WFx71H has only one possible connection with HL166W (which makes a HFx237H).
