Enumerating Pi + SL Collisions

Post by Hdjensofjfnen » August 14th, 2018, 9:25 pm

I'd like to try to enumerate the possible pi and SL collisions in Life. They sometimes yield interesting stuff, like this one by the MIT group (1971):

Code: Select all

x = 8, y = 5, rule = B3/S23
2o$obo$bo3b3o$5bo$5b3o!
And a boat doubler and (9,11) shifter:

Code: Select all

x = 37, y = 7, rule = B3/S23
30b2o$b2o26bobo$obo27bo$bo$5b3o26b3o$5bo28bo$5b3o26b3o!
The ones posted use boats, but this thread isn't limited to them.

EDIT: Would had been pi to pulsar had it not had too little room:

Code: Select all

x = 9, y = 3, rule = B3/S23
2o4b3o$2o4bo$6b3o!

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 9, rule = B3-jqr/S01c2-in3
3bo$4bo$o2bo$2o2$2o$o2bo$4bo$3bo!

Code: Select all

x = 7, y = 5, rule = B3/S2-i3-y4i
4b3o$6bo$o3b3o$2o$bo!
