Correct, that is not a pseudo-object, but a 17 bit stable object: [17.798].
The construction of the Snake-on-Snake pseudo object and the conversion to the inductor both appear to be new to me. The reaction to convert the Snake might be known as part of more complicated constructions, but I couldn't find any sign of any such constructions in my records. (Then again, my search wasn't exhaustive.)
Here, for example, is the recipe I have for turning a Bookends [14.112] into a 22 bit symetrical object:
Code: Select all
#C 14.112 -> 15.1012 -> 17.5625 -> 18.13598 -> 19.33494 -> 21.186500 -> 22.442887
x=136, y=19

Here's how to make that 22 bit object with just 4 gliders. Be patient, as it takes a while...
Code: Select all
x=6, y=43,
obo$b2o$bo2$3bobo$3b2o$4bo30$3b2o$3bobo$3bo2$b2o$obo$2bo!

Even worse, here's the only recipe I can find for creating the pair of Snakes:
Code: Select all
#C 6.1 -> 13.30 -> 13.29 -> 6.1+6.1
x=106, y=31

(Most of these steps are from J.Buckingham or M.Neimiec.)
Any reaction like the original, where a simple spark is used to convert one object into another (or pseudo-objects) is of interest, as it's fairly easy to create those sparks with a few Gliders. Now I need to spend some time adding all these new reactions to my files. (I need to become unemployed again so I can have the time to update the online databases, too...)
