Does anyone have any examples?

There probably isn't a page because
  • It's not the smallest, lowest population, or most interesting
  • There are likely dozens (if not hundreds) of ways to combine 8 Corderengines into a spaceship of some sort. Listing them all would be tedious (although useful for building larger Corderconglomerates) and trying to only choose a few would limit the page's usefulness.

Right. The LifeWiki ended up documenting the list of Corderships that set records for various periods of time.

The original 8-engine Cordership was kind of an odd case, because it showed up after the 7-engine Cordership and so didn't set any new records, except for the number of rows of switch engines. (The original 8-engine Cordership needs just two rows, four engines each, where the 7-engine Cordership needed a row of 3, a row of 1, and another row of 3.)

EDIT: The two-row record was short-lived also, of course, since the single-row 7-engine Cordership came along just before the 6-engine rakes above. Strangely, it appears that nobody noticed that the 7-in-a-row Cordership could be reduced to a 6-in-a-row Cordership, until I built one accidentally while trying to put together a smaller LWSS Corderrake:

It refers to this spaceship. The final step in the synthesis was posted by Tanner Jacobi here.

Apparently codeholic found the c/98 ship in HighLife using gsearch. What happens if you use this program to search for other exotic speeds?

One could run searches for however long it would take to find such a spaceship, and if it takes longer than it did to find the c/98 (which it probably will), the search could be cancelled and replaced with another one.

Another idea that's been on the back of my mind for a bit: we could try to construct a 3c/14 wave stretcher of some sort. Not strictly a spaceship, but it could help us find one.

First we have this reaction mentioned various tomes in this thread:

x = 15, y = 7, rule = B3/S23
3b3o3b3o$2bo3bobo3bo$2bo3bobo3bo$2bo3bobo3bo$o2b3o3b3o2bo$o13bo$o13bo!

We also have this diagonal pi wave:

x = 22, y = 22, rule = B3/S23
19b3o$19bo$19b3o3$14b3o$14bobo$14bobo7$5b3o$5bo$5b3o3$3o$obo$obo!

Now if we could somehow combine these reactions together, we could get a 3c/14 wavestretcher. If we don't get one with search programs first then this could be a step towards our first 3c/14 either horizontal or diagonal spaceship.

It was built with an automated script that may or may not have assumed that any spaceship it acts upon moves one cell per period.
The ship travels 2 cells forward while the grid moves forward one, so during one of the phases in which the spaceship would move forward it "skips" back the extra cell.
It's kinda funky to look at but judging from the age of the article it's been pretty hard to notice by people who haven't been explicitly looking for it. :?
Also, it's just a .gif.

Once I noticced this problem when the lifeviewer is first used in *WSS pages.
What's more, the viewer looks a bit strange in Coe ship.The moving grids looks not so smooth after 10 generations.
Sorry for off-topic :oops:

@Sokwe: Cool finds!
I used your example dragon search to find an almost-spaceship partial, and then stabilized it by dragons:

Nice! It's surprising that those side sparks can be used in that way.

Here is a relatively small width-19 c/6 ship:
x = 17, y = 40, rule = B3/S23

A fairly simple spark at the back of a c/6 spaceship would allow the construction of p12 and p18 ships:

Here's a 2c/6 ship that I found while testing a modification of zfind:
x = 19, y = 90, rule = B3/S23
