I've been trying to create a font entirely out of still lifes, and I wanted to make a symbol for +/t. So I made a pond, but I had the edges be three cells long instead of two, which isn't stable, so I put houses on all four sides to try to stabilize it, but the center would still oscillate. I thought maybe if I looked at it's page on the wiki I would come up with a clever solution, but I couldn't find it when I tried searching for "four houses" then "house" to see if it'd come up. Then I looked at every entry in http://www.conwaylife.com/wiki/Category ... h_period_2 to see if any pages resembled it. Now I'm more interested in the oscillator itself than finding solutions.

Also, for future reference is there a site where there's a more complete list? Thanks.
What is this oscillator?

That's a variant of the scrubber.
