I need someone to post a tutorial, because I'm not good at Glider Synthesis, and I need to know all the GS tech.
As a first challege, I'm try to synthesis this:
Code: Select all
x = 7, y = 6, rule = B3/S23
2o3b2o$bo2bobo$o3bo$obob2o$bobo2bo$2bo2b2o!
Code: Select all
x = 7, y = 6, rule = B3/S23
2o3b2o$bo2bobo$o3bo$obob2o$bobo2bo$2bo2b2o!
Code: Select all
x = 8, y = 18, rule = B3/S23
5bobo$5b2o$6bo$2bo$3bo$b3o5$b2o$2b2o$bo3b3o$5bo$6bo$3o$2bo$bo!
Code: Select all
x = 6, y = 6, rule = B3/S23
4b2o$3bobo$3bo$bob2o$obo2bo$bo2b2o!
But this is about par for the course for Hunting, considering he also pointlessly duplicated the Solitaire of Life thread...Hunting wrote:The old thread is "dead", I think.
I created a glider synthesis tutorial specifically for this on the wiki a while back. Come to think of it I probably should update it and add in the next section.Hunting wrote:I need someone to post a tutorial, because I'm not good at Glider Synthesis, and I need to know all the GS tech.

$12bo2b2o!
Thats right, and I know that. But this synthesis thread contains more things, i think.danny wrote:Don't we already have a glider synthesis thread?
Ill goto the tutorial.How to use Catagolue to find glider synthesis? It just generates some strange soup.Goldtiger997 wrote:I created a glider synthesis tutorial specifically for this on the wiki a while back. @Hunting, I encourage you to try and use the tutorial to create a glider synthesis of the still-life you posted. I'll help by providing a useful converter:
Using that converter (and possibly others), and catagolue, finding a synthesis shouldn't be too hard. I'll be happy to help more if you are having trouble with it.Code: Select all
x = 17, y = 10, rule = B3/S23 4bo$5bo$3b3o3bo$7b2o$3o5b2o5b2o$2bo11bobo$bo9bo2bo$10bobob2o$11bobo2bo $12bo2b2o!
As explained in the tutorial, you need to run the soup until just before the object appears, and try to recognize synthesisable components that react to make the object. You will probably need to try several soups. It does take some practice. If you like, you can post some soups or predecessors that look good here, and I'll try to help.Hunting wrote:I'll go to the tutorial. How to use Catagolue to find glider synthesis? Ok, I understand.Goldtiger997 wrote:As explained in the tutorial, you need to run the soup until just before the object appears, and try to recognize synthesisable components that react to make the object. "Contains more things"? How on Earth can you claim that this thread contains more things than the existing thread? It even literally has the same name with only a "New" in front of it.Hunting wrote:Thats right, and I know that. In fact, I posted in the old thread, and I think it's dead 'cause no one is replying that thread for a long time.77topaz wrote:"Contains more things"? Frankly, this thread seems like just another one of your pointless attempts at attention-grabbing.
PROTIP:Hunting wrote:Also, I want to learn how to make COOL-LOOKING design of synthesises.
I never do atte-grab.
