The apgvirus is a computer virus that has a soup-searcher built in.
It searches for a txt file called apgqueue, if present, it just adds its settings to the bottom of the file (computer already infected), if absent it installs itself and an empty apgqueue list to the computer(new infection). When the computer starts upcomputer starts up, apgvirus sets itself up according to its latest settings in apgqueue, spreads over the internet, and then deletes that setting. The other settings in apgqueue move up a spot. If apgqueue is empty, apgvirus simply shuts down. This non-malignant virus is carefully designed to avoid computers getting infected multiple times. Suppose I set it up to search B3/S2/C1/30 minutes. Then it spreads installing itself on non-infected computers and adding those settings to infected computers. It adjusts soups per haul, by seeing how fast hauls are submitted to Catagolue by looking at the recent haul submission times. If we go by soups, Catagolue will get hauls exponentially more often and crash. This is apgvirus, designed not to hurt computers.

This might be a fun idea to discuss on the Discord but it is not something which any of you should aspire to actually doing. As I'm sure you all know, despite skating over the topic in the posted screenshots, it is illegal in pretty much all countries that the members of this forum reside in. Not "technically illegal but I wasn't trying to cause any harm", but "gaining unauthorized access to other computers" kind of illegal. There is a reasonable exposition of the US legal situation here. I would strongly suggest that serious discussion of this topic would also not be allowed on this forum, even if it doesn't technically break any of the forum rules.

@wwei23: As an aside - if you actually want people to help you with a project (not this one), don't post a wall of images of text where more than half of the content is irrelevant to the project. Do some actual work - in this case, summarise the content that you are reproducing. With regards to the actual project: clearly state what you want to do, show what you have actually done and discuss the problems you've come across and what you need help with.

Sure; I thought wwei and the others were just treating as a joke, until the point where he actually started posting code. At that point, I became interested by the technical aspects of what he was discussing, and besides, as the timestamps show, that part of the discussion only lasted about an hour anyway (and I wasn't expecting wwei would literally go and post a bunch of screenshots of it ).
