Stories told through structures in CGOL.

Post your fun scenarios that have corresponding CGOL patterns. Be creative.

Once upon a time, calcyman and Saka were talking, when suddenly calcyman bit a piece of Saka's face off and he magically turned into a loaf of bread:

Code: Select all

He then cloned himself and tried to eat the loaf, but failed and exploded:

Once upon a time there was a glider. It was a very tiny spaceship generated from a random soup with a density of 2%.

Code: Select all

x = 300, y = 300, rule = B3/S23

It felt very lonely, because it thought it was alone in the whole Life universe when all the remaining ash died: even if there was a second nearby glider. But the little glider didn't notice it because of a very small field of vision. But it eventually met it. It said:
(Glider) -Hi! My name is Glider. What's your name?
(Glider 2) -My name is Glider too XD
(Glider) -How are you?
(Glider 2) -I was sad because I thought that I was all alone here. but we're lucky that we met each other.
(Glider) -Me too. Yeah, we are lucky, but... being a glider is so lame. I want to be a LWSS.
(Glider 2) -Oh... (thinking) I've got it! Let's collide!
(Glider) -OK!

Code: Select all

x = 10, y = 12, rule = B3/S23
8bo$7bo$7b3o7$3o$2bo$bo!
But the gliders didn't know that a glider synthesis of a LWSS requires 3 gliders, not two. Unfortunately, the collision led to a block.
(Glider) -Blocks are even more boring. I want to split.
(Glider 2) -Holy words. Let's do it.
(Glider) -Oh no! We can't escape! HEEEEEEEELP!
But they did get a response...
(Calcyman, my favourite lifeenthusiast) -What happened to you, gliders?
Glider 1 said him everything, what happened.
(Calcyman) -I will save you. Wait a minute, first I must go the Golly Archives, then to the Rule Table Repository and then to Miscellaneous, and finally to Reversible Life. Oh, there's a Python script there to reverse the collision!
The gliders were happy they will split, but when Calcyman ran the script, it showed an error:
The Python library does not have this symbol:
Py_InitModule4
He didn't install Python!
He went to Python Scripting, used the link, downloaded the installer and installed Python. Then the script worked.
The locked gliders felt weird, because the script took them back in time. But they we're free!
(Gliders) -Thanks Calcyman! Now can glide through the universe without problems!
(Glider) -But my dream didn't come true. I want to be a LWSS, which I knew would be doable by collision. But my intuition says that it's impossible to create a lightweight spaceship with two gliders - it requires three. Could you draw for us a third glider?
(Calcyman) -No problem! Your intuition was right.
The only thing left was the collision. Calcyman arranged the gliders just in the right way and ran the pattern.

Code: Select all

x = 10, y = 7, rule = B3/S23
7b2o$7bobo$obo4bo$b2o$bo3bo$5b2o$4bobo!
The glider turned into a LWSS.
The End
I was so socially awkward in the past and it will haunt me for the rest of my life.

It reminded me of "Calcyman goes fishing" from the jokes thread. Also,

Code: Select all

x = 10, y = 7, rule = B3/S23
8b2o$7bobo$7bo$6b2o$o$b2ob4o$2o2bo2bo!
An evil still life was attacked for its many "trans"-gressions (because it's trans-eater on table) by a glider.
Unfortunately, the poor glider had been killed by the villain, but was reincarnated for ridding this world of an evil evil.
Any sufficiently advanced software is indistinguishable from malice.

Because of an earlier incident, Saka has become afraid of calcyman. He flled from calcyman as he approached Saka from behind. But Saka accidentally bumped A for Awesome. This left Saka injured badly and A for Awesome turned into a ship. Saka survived the incident but was very badly injured, and A for Awesome, well...

"Joe?" The one in the back asked, "Where are we going again?" "To bread store, Bill!" Joe answered. "Oh yeah!" Said Bill. After a few minutes of walking, Bill was getting tired, "Joe, you sure the bread store is this way?" He aksed. "Yes" Joe replied, "Don't worry". They sat on a still life for a while, and Bill checked his phone, "Joe I just read this!" Bill exclaimed, "It says that bread stores are dangerous!" "Hah, nonsense." Joe laughed.

Just when they were going to arrive, Bill noticed that the bread store was peculiar. "Stop Joe!" Bill said, as he morphed into a block. "Oh no!" Joe screamed, but it was too late...

Having learned from the previous 2 incidents, saka went over Calcyman, but ran into Lifeisawesome.

Code: Select all

x = 39, y = 23, rule = B3/S23
4b3o$4b3o$b4o5bo$3b2obo4bo$6b2o3b2o$5b3o3bo$5b2obo2b2o$4bo2b2obobo$7bo

$22b2obo$22b2ob3o$28bo$22b2ob3o$23bobo$23bobo$24bo!
However, Lifeisawesome was saved by a glider which hit them at just the right moment and they became a traffic light instead of dying:

Code: Select all

x = 25, y = 24, rule = B3/S23
4bo$5bo$2bo2b2o$2bo2bo4bo$2bo2b2o2bobo$4bobo4bo$7bo3bo$6bo2bob2o$4b2o

Saka was not so lucky, and he attacked Calcyman in his rage, causing him to transform into a block and Calcyman into a beehive and a glider.
Then, the queen bee beecame mad at Calcyman because only the queen bee should be able to make beehives and attacked the fragment of him that was in the glider:

Code: Select all

But that proved to bee her demise and the glider escaped but the queen bee exploded, never to bee seen again.
Unfortunately, Kazyan appeared and tried to eat Calcyman with the help of Kiran, who transformed into a butterfly, but Kazyan blew up:

Code: Select all

x = 93, y = 74, rule = B3/S23

Calcyman escaped the wreckage of Kazyan's corpse in the form of a glider, and Kiran miscalculated, moving Calcyman's beehive instead of destroying it.
Just when it looked like everything had settled down (gliders omitted for compactness), gameoflifemaniac appeared and blew everything up:

You don't need to quote someone's entire post when you quote them.

However, Lifeisawesome was saved by a glider which hit them at just the right moment and they became a traffic light instead of dying:

Calcyman escaped the wreckage of Kazyan's corpse in the form of a glider, and Kiran miscalculated, moving Calcyman's beehive instead of destroying it.

The answer is that the blinker was rephrased.
What did I tell you about quoting people's posts? It's really spammy and annoying to read through someone's long post quoted in it's entirety in another post which is then quoted again to say a trivial statement that could've been just edited in. I don't even know why you quoted my extremely long story to begin with.
Also, it's "rephased", not "rephrased". Anyone who played the pattern could see the blinker was rephased. It doesn't necessitate a whole extremely long post quoted in an extremely long post to say.
Any sufficiently advanced software is indistinguishable from malice.

I really needed to repost these posts from the Useless Discoveries thread:

Pentadecathlon looked like it was destroyed while the HWSS looked like it was fine. And then the PD suddenly recovered itself and the HWSS was deleted.

One of The HWSS's friends got angry, so he sent an army of gliders to destroy the PDs.

Soon after, the twin of the destroyed HWSS came upon an eater 2 variant eating a patrolling glider of the friend who had destroyed the pentadecathlons. The twin HWSS went forward, and, not even bothering to reason with the eater 2 variant, showered it with its sparks and decomposed it into nothing.

The twin HWSS came back, now with a LWSS and a schick engine. It found a hat who was struggling to eat, and sparked it to smithereens. A fishhook tried to eat the LWSS, but it positioned itself at the wrong place.

A day later, the HWSS and LWSS pulling the Schick engine stumbled upon the a blinker predecessor and the very same eater 1 from last time, inductioning an eater 2 variant, who ate some gliders. After talking about what to do, The LWSS destroyed a blinker predecessor, while the HWSS sparked the eater 2 variant into nothing. In the distance, there is a friend of the destroyed PDs.

B-engine survived as LWSS, but collided into GoldTiger997. B-engine returns into it's original form, but GoldTiger997 turned into pieces of junks.

Code: Select all

x = 30, y = 10, rule = B3/S23

The two eaters, Calcyman, and hotcrystal0 destroyed the puffer and cleaned part of the mess, but a LWSS escaped.

After that, the escaping LWSS(not B-engine, but the one that escaped) crashed into some tables, and became a MWSS

Code: Select all

x = 26, y = 12, rule = B3/S23

Edit: This caused KtT to get angry, as he thought he should be the only MWSS. The surviving part of him (the part of him in the two blocks) tried to eat the MWSS. KtT succeeded, but he ended up turning into a glider.
