The converter game

How it works:

Use a converter to change the last still-life/oscillator posted into a new still-life/oscillator.

Rules:
  • No "multistage" converters.
  • Only use B3/S23
  • Only use glider-constructible spaceships
  • The same converter can not be used more than once
  • Seperable parts of the same still-life/oscillator can not be seen in the same place more than once
  • Do not post two converters in a row
  • You can add new rules if your username is Goldtiger997
Other than being a game, This thread could also function as being a place for posting converters that are useless but interesting, or converters that are worthy of being reminded of.

People seem to have missed the second add-tail in calcyman's post, and since that tail does not get in the way of any of the other converters, I'll put it back in.

Already been done, pretty much -- just have to make a quick stamp collection of all the individual construction steps at some regular spacing (EDIT: which I think Goldtiger997 already has in the first post).

Also, we've broken two out of the three ground rules so far -- at least, it seems to me that some of these conversions are actually multistage.

Apologies if I spoil your fun,but I believe such kind of thread can be more educative - similar to textbooks for organic synthesis,we can make this thread something like basic glider synthesis.Is this a good idea or not?

I don't know how I missed calcyman's break of the rules, especially since I made the rules and put calcyman's tail-add back in!

However, I don't think Bullet51's post is a multistage converter, since it does not modify the original still-life to the very end, but instead creates a constellation that it later uses.

Ah, I was thinking of "multistage" from the point of view of the recipe. The constellation construction is one stage, and arbitary delays can be added between that stage and the final still-life modification, so they're clearly separate stages. But you're looking at it from the point of view of the still life.

So the rule is just that there shouldn't be a way to stop in the middle of a change to the target still life -- EDIT: sorry, target object, it won't necessarily be a still life. No stabilized intermediate states in a single update. (But there's no rule that says someone can't post multiple updates in a row, maybe in the same message.)

Yes I think there should be. Another rule I should have put in the original post. The reason for this is partly because I want to feel that we're making "progress", and that the final synthesis is somewhat efficient to make the object. If it's fine, I will just ignore toroidalet's last two conversions, and add the new rules.
