Three new "reflectors" (they consume differing amounts of ants in between reflections, found with customperturb) and a 2-ant to car converter:

(sorry for doublepost)
I found this weird mover, consisting of two large movers escorting a duopeater:

Code: Select all

My program found the large mover, and I found the duopeater-escorting by hand.

Unfortunately, this would have been found by my previous movesrc searches. I have searched for 25%-4 movers that width, and even though movesrc is not exhaustive per se it definitely would have found this. You are the first person to notice it though, and the duopeater reaction is yours. On another note, it can be done smaller (the reaction is slightly different):

Code: Select all

x = 49, y = 12, rule = B3/S23

I'm working on an improvement to movesrc that adds multithreading and ability to search higher width. It will make it by far the fastest mover-searching program, here's some early results:

i don't remember when/if this was discovered, but a square can help a weird rhombus looking thing (i was just messing around when i found it) delete ants from 2 different ways and even reflect! there's also a bunch of random stuff related to the weird rhombus, i'll call the thing attached to the rhombus an "arm" (Attachable to Rhombus and More)

this may have some use if it can delete other objects too. i'll be back with an edit to see if this can eat things like pi or car, at least partially.
edit: it can't eat mover or bird (haven't tried cardinal yet but i don't think it will). however, i had a serious stroke of dumb luck and found this:

Was discovered by lk050807's eater search program way back, and more recently by customperturb. The P4 is new, however.
The thing can just barely snag an ant:

Code: Select all

x = 9, y = 14, rule = B3/S23
7bo$6bo$6b3o6$7b2o$3bo3b2o$2bobo$bobo$bo$2o!
But it can't destroy arbitrary streams of ants, like this one:

Code: Select all

x = 15, y = 20, rule = B3/S23
13bo$12bo$12b3o4$8bo$7bo$7b3o6$8b2o$4bo3b2o$3bobo$2bobo$2bo$b2o!
I wonder if we can make something that can? Here's a start:

Code: Select all

x = 44, y = 24, rule = LifeHistory
12.C28.AD$11.C28.AD$11.3C26.A2CD7$9.E29.E$8.E.E27.E.E$8.E2.E26.E2.E$
9.2E28.2E8$2.2A28.2A$3.A29.A$3A27.3A$A29.A!
The problem is how to restore the steak with the ant we get.

Code: Select all

x = 9, y = 19, rule = B3-qy4e5j6i/S2-cn3-k4i
3$3bo$2b3o2$3bo$4b2o4$3bo$2b2o!

Found this eater using customperturb:

Code: Select all

x = 24, y = 29, rule = B3/S23

After months of searching, I finally found a domino SPARK making repeater with 2 dots:

Code: Select all

x = 18, y = 12, rule = B3/S23
6bo4bo$2b2o10b2o$bobo10bobo$bobob8obobo$2o14b2o$2bobo8bobo$2bobo8bobo
