Hey it's a great rule. Usually in the forum people are not so responsive in the sense that when you work on your own stuff and everything is already completed and working, it's hard to say anything useful. Anyway I really liked it as I said earlier.

I agree. That replicator is easily the fastest linear propagator I've seen, and the rule only has 6 states!

I think people are many times not sure what to do after replicator, so here are few suggestions:

A. Your replicator is reading-writing not in parallel. It make one operation at a time. can you increase the speed by parallelizing the proccess?

B. Self replicating super charge. Caterloopillars are using self replication overload to constantly generate more and more copies of themselves. Think about an array of self replicators that somehow use each other's tape in order to make a very fast spaceship, or at least puffer. Inside this list could also be accelerating spaceships.

C. Adding more interesting algorithms inside the brain of the self replication: this was never done yet properly. Adding more logic so that your creatures could also explore the environment and make decisions. Think about simple code you can write to your computer, that can decide make another copy of itself but with some changes or not.

Just a list of ideas that might pop up. Like self replication is amazing but there is a bunch of stuff possible to do afterwards, which are also CA reality supported only.

RepLoopcator completed, and it's faster than the Hutton Replicator found in Golly's patterns.
That makes this the fastest known asymmetric replicator in a Turing Complete and Construction Universal rule.
