Mooselife (B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k)

Postby Moosey » February 3rd, 2019, 6:00 pm

Hey, another rule! I named it Mooselife after this extremely common oscillator (P3), which in one phase resembles antlers. I call it a Stag. (I did not name the rule after myself!)
x = 7, y = 4, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
2b3o$o5bo$o5bo$o5bo!

The oscillator is common for multiple reasons, mainly these two:
x = 16, y = 3, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
2bo$b3o9b3o$2obo9bobo!

Oscillators
By far the most common oscillators are the Blinker and the Stag. The former is more common than the latter, though the latter is produced in prodigious amounts by puffers.
x = 18, y = 4, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
13b3o$3o8bo5bo$11bo5bo$11bo5bo!

However, other oscillators do exist, such as the toad.
x = 2, y = 4, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
o$2o$2o$bo!

Infinite Growth
Puffers:
There are a lot of Stagpuffers.
One extremely common one:
x = 10, y = 10, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
6b2o$6bo2bo$6bo2bo$5bo3bo$3bo3bo$b2o$bo$o3b2o$o2bo$b3o!

Before you press play, guess which way this one goes.
x = 11, y = 3, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
2bo5bo$b3o3b3o$2obo3bob2o!

Here's a short table on short table puffer:
x = 10, y = 5, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
b3ob3o$bobobobo$o2bobo2bo$o2bobo2bo$b2o3b2o!

Rakes
There are a handful of engineered rakes, such as

Hmm, you missed this:
x = 4, y = 5, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k

EDIT: And the secret to why the MLWSS is so common -- it evolves from the loaf predecessor:
x = 3, y = 3, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
b2o$2o$o!

EDIT: And in the evolution of twin bees into a puffer, we have a 24-bitter:
x = 3, y = 9, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k

All of those except the last three are known-- I just didn't put them in the main post.

Anybody up for a 24-bitter mirrored maggot (hey, look here-there’s mirrored worms and I don’t know what else to call them) puffer?

Yes. For this rule.

I checked with 5S, and unfortunately 10c/26 unsimplified is not a new speed. :cry:
