Now that all periods are known, it's time to look for puffers, I guess.
Like this P3 puffer:

Firstly what's up with all those leading spaces you are posting on this forum? That annoys Golly users.

Secondly

Code: Select all

var a{1,2}
is valid, but non-standard. That would cause trouble, since LifeViewer does not recognize that format. The correct format is

Code: Select all

var a={1,2}
Last but not least, typo: "ratate4reflect".

P. S. Even without those minor flaws, your rule have a couple of major flaws, it's unclear what you're trying to do. For example, using the variable "a" that many times in a row? State number out of bound?

The "major flaw" is that the ruletable format isn't the best in the world. Those a's in each line mean that each of them stands for the same state, so the first transition is "b2n, but only if no other-colour cells are present", unlike Nutshell and its rueltabel format.

"nutshella"

"Unsupported rule name"

EDIT: Took off colors section and something else
Each day is a hidden opportunity, a frozen waterfall that's waiting to be realised, and one that I'll probably be ignoring
